Our client is urgently seeking a Surveying Manager to work on the New MRT Line-1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Project Scope: Design & Construction Project for all E&M System (Rolling Stock, Signaling, Telecommunication, Power Supply, OCS, Track work, PSD, AFC, Depot & Workshop Equipment, F-SCADA, Signage & Graphics) for
1) Job Title & Role; Surveying Manager
(i) Cooperation with internal departments, Sub-contractors, external parties or Civil Contractors or others as required to review, instruct or supervise and resolve any surveying matters or issues and reports related to Construction & Installation works of sub-systems in compliance with contract requirements, interface agreement and applicable regulations & standards
(ii) Management of Surveying resources including personnel and equipment in te day to day performance of the works.
(iii) Provide professional review and commentary on the various surveying related matters for general civil works and particular sub-systems including track works.
(iv) Interface with the Surveying Teams of the CP1a, CP1b or CP2 Civil Contractors as well as the Surveying Teams or managers ofi Sub Contractors to ensure the quality, conformance or suitability of the works
(v) To review construction surveying data or values required as part of the construction process against relevant design data or drawings.
(vi) To provide counter signature to Sub Contractor surveying works where such surveying forms a fundamental part of the construction process. This may be required for Trackwork, Overhead Contact System or other scope of supply systems as well as interface items with other Contract packages.
(vii) Undertake on site inspections of surveying works performed by sub contractors or CP Civil Contractors and supervise if required.
(viii) To review, assess, comment and consent to the survey data reports from other parties, subcontractors, civil contractors in all regards related to the works.
(ix) Review as built survey data and records and provide review or comments as required.
(x) To provide all necessary reports, studies or analysis or other with regards to all surveying matters for the works.
(xi) Study and advice related to Vietnamese law, decree, and regulation related to surveying matters.
(xii) Preparation of survey documents or reports in English and Vietnamese related to Construction & Installation works issues for this project.
(xiii) Translation of Vietnamese/English document to English/Vietnamese document, and checking the document quality related to surveying matters.
(xiv) Any works and documentation necessary for the execution of the Project, which is instructed by the assigned immediate supervisor/manager.
i) Good English (both written and spoken) skills and communication skills
ii) Computer Skills: MS Office, AutoCAD Surveying software packages as appropriate.
iii) Experiences :
- Working for main or sub-contractors in M&E or Civil Construction, preferably with foreign contractors.
- Strong survey team supervision with proven history in managing surveying for railway construction works.
- Has held a senior position within survey team organisation.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of modern surveying techniques and systems
iv) University Degree in Surveying
v) Surveying license: Supervisor Level
vi) Good report and letter writing, communication and presentation skills.
vii) Hard working, a team player with good interpersonal skills and comfortable liaising with people across all levels.
vii) Good problem solving skills
ix) Ability to work independently and thrive in a dynamic environment.
x) Motivated, resourceful, proactive and able to pay attention to details.
xi) Strong organisation skills and able to manage resources effectively and efficiently
