Job Description:
Our client is a leading global player in the energy and resources markets. They currently have a vacancy for a full time Principal Track Engineer to be based in Sydney. The incumbent will lead and manage the Track design team, mentor and develop staff and undertake complex track design assignments.

Accountabilities:
  • budget formulation – provide work estimates, monitor and report against project budgets and exercise cost control
  • scheduling - provide project schedules, monitor and report against the project schedules, recommend remedial measures and organise the compilation of schedules
  • resource management - arrange for resources to be obtained, manage the resources to ensure efficient use including human resource management, acquisition, direction, monitoring, mentoring, development and redeployment at the conclusion of the project
  • quality assurance – responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Customer Services Group (CSG)
  • safety – responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the CSG. Understand and follow OH&S procedures both within the company's framework as well as within the client’s framework. Comply with all statutory requirements; and
  • compliance – with the company's processes and procedures.
Requirements:
  • extensive experience in track design of major railway projects in both metropolitan and regional areas
  • tertiary education and expertise in civil engineering
  • at least 10 years experience in rail related engineering design projects
  • knowledge of the design requirements of railway track, including clearances, structural requirements, commonly used components
  • knowledge of the construction procedures of railway track
  • strong leadership capabilities and staff management experience including recruitment and mobility, mentoring, staff development.

Job Title: Installation Manager ( #8453 )

Job Description:
Our client is seeking an Installation Manager to work on an 8-12 month contract in Saudi Arabia.

Duties will include:
  • reponsible for supervising, monitoring, and the site progress
  • technical administration of sub-contractor’s progress
  • observe, monitor and report SEM, system/Civil provisions are properly in place
  • liaison with civil contractor for necessary system provisions including any openings, cast-in items, and highlight and deficiency or defects as necessary
  • assist sub-contractor for access to site, such as site office, temporary power, delivery, logistics, etc
  • identify defects of civil works which will have impact to system installation
  • organise handover of access or provision by cvil to system
  • organise any site inspection and tests
  • keep daily site record of system or MEP related activities, labour return and activities of Sub-contractors
  • liaison with sub-contractors and other interfacing parties
  • liaison and coordination with SI and O&M team in performing TOC and trail runs
  • liaison with the subcontractors for the inspection and acceptance of the systems
  • coordinate at site with civil and other parties who work at site
  • solve the site installation problems
  • organize and attend the system site meeting related meetings with related subcontractors; and
  • report the site progress and other major issue at occurred at respective site area.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree
  • 10 years working experience
  • 5 years in the E&M / railway field
  • spoken and written ability in both Mandarin and English; and
  • independent and hardworking.
