28 January 2010. Vol 1, Issue 4

Dear Readers,

An Australian man, Grant Burton, has come up with a novel way of promoting rail travel and fulfilling a desire to give his parents the perfect present.

Grant contacted Eurail and offered to tattoo the Eurail logo and http://www.eurail.com on his back, in return for free Eurail Passes as a special gift for his parents’ 40th wedding anniversary.

Chantal Sukel, Campaign Manager of Eurail.Com BV said "We feel that Grant's initiative to immortalize our brand is the summit of Eurail enthusiasm. Allowing more enthusiastic fans to live their dream, we will launch a campaign around Grant's idea. From February 15, everybody can post us their story or idea for ‘Biggest fans travel for free’ on our website and Eurail Facebook Fan Page. The most passionate and creative customers will earn a free Eurail Pass."

Burton will travel to Europe with his parents later this year to show his tattoo in the Dutch Eurail.Com office. Eurail.Com has offered to sponsor his trip if 10,000 people show support by logging on to his Facebook page.
