Our client is a leading mining contracting and civil construction company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. They have been contracted to construct rail junction and station upgrade works at a rail interchange project located in Sydney's western suburbs.

They are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer - Station Services to join their team for the project in Sydney. In this role you will coordinate construction activities with requirements for installation of communication systems. You will also develop and coordinator all temporary station communications staging activities. This is a permanent position.

If you have the relevant qualifications within Civil Engineering accompanied with experience to the rail construction industry, then this is the role where you will gain invaluable experience.

Job Description:
Our client, the leader of a consortium, is seeking a Signalling Engineer.

Under the supervision of the Rolling Stock and Systems Contract Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • during the design phase, checking and auditing of design documents and drawings to be provided by the rolling stock and system contractor
  • during the manufacturing phase, monitoring of the works, factory and site inspections, reporting to the Rolling Stock and Systems Contract Manager ensuring compliance with quality, cost and time
  • contributing to the tests and commissioning process
  • contributing to the handover to the future operation and maintenance entities
  • attending technical meetings with the client and/or the contractors when required
  • follow up and checking the interfaces between the signalling system and other systems; and
  • assisting the Rolling Stock and Systems Contract Manager on technical general matters when required.
Requirements:
  • qualification: MSc in electrical engineering
  • 5 years experience in the design and manufacturing of metro signalling systems (ATC)
  • full command of written and spoken English. A good command of French will be appreciated; and
  • Macau permanent residency.
